EGBA is excited to offer the opportunity of another travel basketball season for selected 3rd - 8th grade players! To be considered for a travel team, all prospective players must be registered for the 2025/26 EGBA House Basketball program and need to pre-register for the tryout. Tryout dates are listed below as well as important information about requirements to tryout.

Location: East Greenwich High School (lower gym)

October 18, 2025 (Saturday)
Location: Cole Middle School
8:00am - 3rd Grade Boys
9:00am - 4th Grade Boys
10:00am - 5th Grade Boys
1pm - 8th Grade Girls
2pm - 7th Grade Girls
3pm - 6th Grade Girls
Notes:
1. There are no warm-up nights this year.
2. Your child must be registered for EGBA House League to tryout for travel basketball (No exceptions). If you have not registered for the house league yet, please do so at: eghoops.com
3. For players that attend East Greenwich Public Schools (EGPS), please grant permission where indicated within the registration fields for EGBA to confirm grade/residency information through EGPS. For players that do not attend East Greenwich Public Schools, a screenshot of grade/residency information must e-mailed to EGBATravel02818@GMAIL.COM prior to tryout date. Please include Grade and Last Name in Subject of e-mail.
4. Cost this year will range from an estimate of $250 per child to $400 per child. Final figures will be advertised later in October. This fee will cover the cost of gym rental for practices and games, league and tournament fees as well as a pizza party for EGBA players and families . The travel team registration fee does not include the cost of a uniform ($100) which will be applicable to some teams.
5. The travel team basketball season will run from November through mid-March. At a high level, the travel team season will consist of the following activities: A) Practice one or two nights during the week, B) Compete against other travel teams in the RI Metrowest League, C) Participate in RIYBA or other tournaments, D) Participate in season-ending Cape Cod tournament. Players selected for a travel team are expected to make travel basketball a priority over other sports during the season.
